  • Endangered Species Conservation Biologist – Pacific Northwest

    A general summary of the position:

    Endangered, a non-profit organization committed to the conservation of endangered plants, animals, and natural places, is looking for a staff or senior scientist to advocate for endangered species conservation. Working with a team of attorneys, communications professionals, and advocates to conserve endangered species across the United States will be part of the job.

  • Desired characteristics, credentials, and abilities include:
  • Two years of professional experience in research, law, public policy, campaigning, or lobbying is required.
  • A master's degree in a relevant scientific subject, such as environmental science, conservation biology, ecology, environmental studies, wildlife biology, fisheries, or another species-related science.
  • It is necessary to be scientifically literate and conversant with conservation biology literature.
  • Experience in environmental law and policy is desired.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
  • Excellent communication abilities, especially the ability to speak in public.
  • The capacity to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent work ethic and time management abilities.
  • A proven dedication to environmental stewardship
