وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَسۡمَاۤءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ فَٱدۡعُوهُ بِهَاۖ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِینَ یُلۡحِدُونَ فِیۤ أَسۡمَـٰۤىِٕهِۦۚ سَیُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ١٨٠
And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.
The first pillar of imaan (faith) in Islam is Belief in Allah. As Muslims, we believe in Allah in accordance with His beautiful names and attributes. Allah has revealed His names repeatedly in the Holy Quran primarily for us to understand who He is. Learning and memorizing the names of Allah will help us to identify the correct way to believe in Him. There is nothing more sacred and blessed than understanding the names of Allah and living by them. How do we expect to worship, love, fear and trust our Lord, The Almighty Allah, if we don’t know who He is?
The listed Allah names are mentioned in different verses of the holy Quran. Each name has a meaning which reflects that praise is to Allah only, the most merciful. The 99 names of Allah, most agreed upon in English, Arabic, and Somali are explained for better understanding in the table below;

Eebaha leh Naxariis guud ee wayn (U naxariistaha Uunka oo dhan).He who acts with extreme kindness
Eebaha leh Naxariis gaarka ah (U naxariistaha Mu’miniinta).The Sovereign Lord, The One with the complete Dominion, the One Whose Dominion is clear from imperfection.
Eebaha ah Boqorka, Fuliyaha amarkiisa.The One who is pure from any imperfection and clear from children and adversaries.
Eebaha ah Daahirka, kana dheer xumaan iyo nuqsaanba.The One who is free from every imperfection.
Eebaha nabadgaliya Mu’miniinta, kana hufan Xumaan oo dhan.The giver of security through His Messengers and His Books.
Eebaha run ka sheega naftiisa iyo wuxuu ballan qaado.The One who witnesses the saying and deeds of His creatures.
Eebaha maraga/markhaati ka ah camalka adoomadiisaThe Strong, The Defeater who is not defeated.
Eebaha adkaadaha ah ee aan la jabinin, Sharaftana iska leh.The Omnipotent One. The One that nothing happens in His Dominion except that which He willed.
Eebaha amarkiisu fulo, ee aan cidina gaadhayn awoodiisa.The One who is clear from the attributes of the creatures and from resembling them.
Eebaha wayn, ee la gaarka ah waynida.The One who brings everything from non-existence to existence.
Abuure, Unke.The Maker, The Creator who has the Power to turn the entities.
Eebaha wax ahaysiiya, unka oo abuura.The One who forms His creatures in different pictures.
Eebaha Sawira, Ruuxkasta siiya suurad u gaar ah.The Forgiver, The One who forgives the sins of His slaves time and time again.
Eebaha astura danbiga adoomihiisa marar badan.The Dominant, The One who has the perfect Power and is not unable over anything.
Eebaha ku qasba cid kasta wuxuu doonoThe One who is abundantly generous in giving without ever needing to calculate.
Eebaha bixiya nicmooyinkaThe provider, the sustainer. The one who creates sustenance for all His creations.
Eebaha Quudiya, Eebaha arzaaqa cid kasta.He is the one who opens the hearts of His slaves and holds the keys to success in this world and the hereafter.
Eebaha fura albaabada xiran, waxa culusna fududeeya.The Knowledgeable; The One nothing is absent from His knowledge.
Eebaha Wax walba ogThe Constrictor, The Withholder. He is the one who constricts sustenance, our lives, and our hearts.
Eebaha Rizqiga ku ciriiriya ciduu doono xikmad darteed.The Enlarger, The One whose bounty has no limits. He expands and widens the hearts and our souls and gives us sustenance in His Generosity and Mercy.
Eebaha Rizqiga u waasiciya ciduu doono xikmad darteed.The lowerer, the reducer, the abaser. He lowers the status of people as a means to make them humble.
Eebaha Hoos u dhiga (gaalada iyo cidii xad gudubta)The Exalter, The Elevator, The Raiser.
Eebaha Sarreysiiya Mu’miniinta.He gives esteem to whoever He wills, hence there is no one to degrade Him; And He degrades whoever He wills, hence there is no one to give Him esteem.
Eebaha karaameeya oo awood siiyaa ciduu doono.He gives esteem to whoever He wills, hence there is no one to degrade Him; And He degrades whoever He wills, hence there is no one to give Him esteem.
Eeabaha dulleeya oo hoojiya ciduu doono.The Hearer, The One who Hears all things. His eternal hearing without an ear, instrument or organ.
Eebaha wax walba maqla. Maqalkiisa daa'imka ah oo aan baahnayn qalab ama xubin.The All-Noticing, The One who Sees all things that are seen by His Eternal Seeing without a pupil or any other instrument.
Eebaha wax walba og oo arka wax kasta oo lagu arko araggiisa daa'imka ah isagoon qalab ubaahnayn.The Arbitrator, The Judge, The Giver of Justice.
Eebaha Xaakimka ah, kala saara xaqa iyo baadilkaThe Just, The One who is entitled to do what He does.
Eebaha Caadilka ah, kana reebay naftiisa dulmiga.The Subtle One, The Gracious, The One who is kind to His slaves and endows upon them.
Eebaha Wanaajiya adoomihiisa.The One who knows the truth of things.
Eebaha og wax kasta kiisa yar iyo kiisa waynba.The Forebearing, The One who delays the punishment for those who deserve it and then He might forgive them.
Eebaha dulqaata. Eebbaa u daahiya ciqaabta ciddii mutaysata oo markaas uu u dambi dhaafo.The Great One, The Mighty, The One deserving the attributes of Exaltment, Glory, Extolement, and Purity from all imperfection.
